Work Groups

Work groups are the place where all of the standards for electronic transmission of pharmacy data are created and modified. NCPDP meetings provide a venue for our members and other industry stakeholders to work together to create solutions for healthcare.

Member collaboration in work groups produces solutions for claims processing, rebate reporting, standardization of billing units, product labeling, ePrescribing, security and confidentiality and more.

We have 11 active work groups that meet quarterly in different regions of the country. Non-members can attend for a fee, but they do not have voting privileges. The quarterly work group meetings include elements of education, committee interaction, work group and task group activity, networking events, leadership development, new member orientation and exhibit opportunities.
